Liza Jane

Our sweet little lady turned 6 yesterday. She asked for Grilled Salmon for dinner and got a new American Girl doll- Marie-Grace. It was so fun to have a quiet night at home and just enjoy the kiddos. We're having her party on Saturday, which is sure to be a hoot. 11 little girls playing "beauty salon". It should be tons of fun! I'll try to take some good pics!
She's growing up before our eyes and really enjoying kindergarten. She's making some sweet friends and learning a ton. She's starting to read and write stories. Her favorite subject is still art and she seems to really excel at it. Her pictures are so detailed and creative. Of course, if you ask her what her favorite parts of the day are, she says recess and lunch! Ha!
She is also loving her class at church. It's called "K-Street", just for kindergarteners, and she is learning so much! And retaining! I can see God's hand on her life, and I'm so excited for how He is going to mold her heart.
Thank you for making a valuable impact on her life. Ben and I are so thankful to have dear family and friends who get to take this journey with us! She is so loved!

What a Summer!
Well, life's been crazy but tons of fun around here! In July, after God provided a very sweet renter for our home in Texas, we put on offer on a house here in Georgia. Then, August happened:
August 4th: Beckett turned one!!!!!!!!! He's an absolute delight. I cannot believe he is already 1. The year has flown by and his daddy, mommy, sister, and brother all think he's the best thing on the planet.
August 14th: Ben and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. Wow, so much has happened in the past seven years! I am incredibly thankful for my husband. The longer we are married, the better it gets.
August 15th: Liza Jane started kindergarten! She is attending State Bridge Crossing Elementary here in Johns Creek, GA. She loves it. She's quickly made a bunch of sweet friends and is eager to go to school every day. Ben and I have been very pleased with all she is learning. We love her teacher and are very thankful for such a great school.
August 19th: We closed on our house! (We have been blown away by the way God orchestrated the sequences leading up to the purchase of our home, finding our realtor, loan officer, everything. It has been a really fun journey.)
August 20th: Ben turned 31. We celebrated by moving, but we both love our new house and new corner of the world, so I think he was okay with that.
August 21st: Moving day! We'd moved to GA just 3 months earlier, so this move was a little more exhausting, but the Booster guys helped a ton and it was definitely worth it!
August 30th: Chaz's 1st day of Pre-K. I can't believe he's just a year away from kindergarten. He's growing up so fast. I just want to press pause for a minute, but I guess watching old home videos will have to do. He's still as hilarious as ever and learning new things everyday. He LOVES to learn and it is so fun to watch! He likes his new preschool and is adjusting very well.
So, that was August. Now we're almost to the middle of September. Where did the summer go? Our new home is a "fixer", and we are in the midst of renovations, so I'm hoping before and after pictures will be in the future.

Disney
What a vacation. Magical. Exhausting. So affirming for our kiddos. Never heard so many "thank yous" from sweet Liza Jane. We took a week in the middle of a crazy move and incredibly busy time in our lives and gave it to our children in this trip. I'm so so glad we did.
First day at the Magic Kingdom! Energized and ready for action!
On the drive home. A little different energy level. :)
We got to spend some time with Ben's sister, Melody, and her family while we were there!
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad with my little man! He was fearless!
Our sweet friends Katie and Rylie went with us. I'm so glad they did!
Strike a pose!
Dino Dig at Animal Kingdom.
Waiting in line for BTMR
Meeting Liza Jane' favorite princess, Ariel!
A special time with a very special Aurora.

We're headed to the ATL
Yes we are! After 4 fabulous years in Texas, we are moving back to Atlanta. We are really excited about the upcoming move (May 25th) but have tons going on during the process. Yikes! Please pray for a smooth transition for the 5 of us. Thanks so much! We will miss our Texas friends, but look forward to the new adventures God has for us in Georgia.
Here's a few pics from the last couple of months. Hopefully I'll get back to being more consistent once we're settled!
Liza Jane's class did Resurrection Eggs at Preschool this year. She did an incredible job learning each detail of the Easter story and sharing it with us. She is understanding more and more who Christ is and what He did for us. We're petitioning God for the day all that head knowledge penetrates her heart and confident He will do it!
Chaz's class had a Mother's Day brunch. It was super sweet. He had a great first year of preschool. He turns 4 on May 31st. I can't believe how quickly he's growing up!
Our sweet baby boy is 9 months old! He is also finally sitting unassisted. He's a very content little thing, so he hasn't been very interested in moving around. Haha! Someday he'll crawl, too, but right now I'm enjoying the ease of the non-moving stage!Thursday, February 17, 2011
Daddy Daughter Dance

It has been way too long since I've posted. Christmas was crazy, so I think I'll just skip to the last month or so. Liza Jane and Ben got to fly to Atlanta at the end of January for a Daddy Daughter Dance Ben's company was co-hosting. Ben's said it was his favorite night as a dad. Liza Jane's best night ever. We are so blessed to be a part of such an incredible company. Thank you Booster! I'll try to upload a video also. Magical.
