Christmas!!!

We had a great Christmas spending time in Oklahoma and Illinois. The weather was snowy and icy on Xmas Eve and Day, so we were a little less busy than planned, which I was thankful for! The kids had a wonderful time. We are still finding it challenging (as we probably always will) to teach the true meaning of Christmas through it all, but we are finding great ways and know it will improve as the kiddos get older and understand better. We did a "Jesse Tree" this year which was really awesome and I'm excited to keep that as a part of our tradition.

Liza Jane got "Sally" from CARS in her stocking and was thrilled! She is also wearing a robe my mother made me when I was little! Fun stuff.

Chaz's greatest obsession right now is CARS the movie and anything related to it. His favorite character is "Chick Hicks" who he calls "Shick". And yes, it sounds very similar to the alternate word for "feces". He was delighted with all his gifts! Sweet boy.
